Here are finally some pictures of our canning frenzy! Thanks to Mom and Tawna staying up until the wee hours of morning, we ended up with 55 jars of pie apples!! We had already finished 34 jars of applesause. Both are delicious!!! I am loving learning how to can food. I know that it will be of great value to my family. Plus, the time I get to spend with my mom and sisters is priceless.

Yes, the apples are done. Yay. I still think I have a lot to learn about those silly apples. I was seriouly thinking about throwing the 7 jars that wouldn't seal into the street, lighting them on fire and running over them with my truck. But I didn't. We made apple pie instead, I got the recipe posted on Nana's blog and am better for the experience. I'm just a little insane sometimes.
Mom cracks me up...I can actually picture her throwing those 7 jars into the street, lighting them on fire and running over them! Good stuff! Your apples look pretty and yummy...
