Vote!! Vote!!! Vote!!!!

Vote for Kai!!!!!
Just adding to Tawna's & Taya's shout outs for Kai, just in case someone happened to miss theirs.  Kai is a really sweet guy that we kinda grew up with in California.  His family was in our ward over there.  He and his family sang at Tawna and Nate's wedding reception, and we camped at San Clemente a couple of summers with his family too.   They are just the sweetest people you could ever meet.  And he has such an amazing talent!!  I remember listening to him, his brother, his dad and his uncle sing around the campfire and it was mesmerizing!!!  So, I know that a lot of people think that voting is dumb or whatever, but seriously, vote for this guy!! He deserves this break in life!!
Don't forget, Wednesday night as soon as American Idol ends, start voting!!

Valentines Weekend!!

This is our Valentines weekend trip!  We had such a great time.  We went to the Yuma Sand Dunes with Tawna and Nathan and all of the kids.  Again, another great trip without incident.  I can say that because I have decided that since Nate can't go on a trip with out falling off of his bike at least once - LOL: ) - I will not report it as an incident unless he is hurt.  (He had some soreness, but nothing broken.)   Anyway, we camped at a different spot this time and it was awesome.  I different experience than Buttercup, which is where we normally go.  Ogilby road was such a great experience.  The terrain is a big different than Buttercup and the kids got a lot more riding experience.  Buttercup is very smooth sand with bigger hills and such.  Ogilby had a lot of little bumps and tracks with turns and jumps and the littlest boys really got a lot of practice at handling their quads.  They all did so great.  Here are some pics.

This is Ryker with all 4 wheels off of the ground!! A mother's dream!
This is all of our boys and Uncle Nate digging in the sand, one of their favorite activities.
Jaxon, jumping, but before all 4 wheels came off of the ground!
The boys have all gotten to be really good riders.  I was so proud of them.  They kept the fighting to a minimum and shared so well.  They had such a great time with their cousins! Thanks Tawna and Nate for inviting us and letting us crash in your toy hauler!! It was one of the best trips ever!!  I especially loved the fritos & chili we had for dinner!! LOL!!

Not much...

So, there's not much going on here.   We have just been up to life as usual.  The kids are enjoying school and their friends there.  They come home and tell me all of their friends names and what they did that day!!!  They are really growing up so fast.  Aden still asks me on an almost daily basis when he gets to go to school with his brothers.  I keep telling him "in August".  It cannot come soon enough for him.  We are really enjoying being around so much family.  And every day I am grateful to have such wonderful parents and siblings!!  They truly are the best.
I went to the church dry pack cannery yesterday.  It was my second time.  It is a really great experience.  No one complains or stands around waiting for someone else to do the work.  Everyone just pitches in and gets it done.  It is actually fun.  I am working on getting our food storage built up.  I am also trying to think of recipes that I will be able to make out of the stuff I am canning.  What's the use of having a food storage if you can't create a meal??  So, next on my list to can is:  baby carrots, peas, corn, potatoes and beef.  I want to be able to make stew.  But, it is better if you can all of the ingredients separate (because they all pressure at different pounds).  So, that's what I will be tackling next.
The never-ending to do list...
clean out and organize basement, so I can finally retrieve my stuff from storage
paint (there are some scary colors going on down there)
start canning again
start working out again!!
Time to get started!!!  Wish me luck!
