So, I don't have tooo terribly much to say. But, I have been trying so hard to post at least once a week. Jaxon's soccer season began last Saturday and ended last Sunday, when he broke his arm! Now, you might be curious as to how this sweet little child managed to "blunt fracture" his radius and carpus (dr. talk). Well, he was pouting that I wouldn't let him go to the neighbors to play (it being Sunday and all). So, he decided to climb a tree. Which he did successfully. He got up the tree and sat on a branch. That's where he made the wrong choice. See, Jaxon weighs a lot and the branch just didn't have enough strength to hold his "thick" body up. So, it snapped. And he fell. 8 feet to the ground. But, he was smart enough to catch himself, which saved his face and head from being broken. But, at the sacrifice of his arm/wrist. He told me after...
"Mom, I just don't know what I was thinkin"!!!
To which I responded...
"Neither do I brother"!
He gets his hard cast on tomorrow, he says he wants black, but everyone who asks tries to talk him into pink!! So, I guess we'll see.
But, Needless to say, Soccer season is not going to happen this year! woo-whoo!! I am free at last!! haha!
I have to give a shout out to my friend, Marlo. I made her recipe for quacomole last weekend and have eaten it everyday since. It is so absolutely amazing. Thanks again Marlo. I will post the recipe on "The cooks in Nana's nook" later this week if anyone wants it!!

Hey, you got your wish......no more soccer! Probably not the way you wanted it to end up, but you did sound pretty desperate!! Take care!
That'll teach him to pout, right? glad it wasn't any worse, and happy you get to sit the season out mommy. There's always spring soccer to look forward to.
Sure, you told him to go up in the tree and fall out just so you wouldn't have to go to soccer anymore didn't you?! Poor kid. It's only the beginning I'm sure with three boys! Good luck!
Hope he's feeling better by now. There will always be time for soccer.....trust me!
I hope you learned a lesson Mr. Jaxon! I am glad you are A-OK!!! We are excited to see you all over conference weekend!
Glad he went with blue...not that black would have been bad with Halloween and all! Jealous that Mom and Summer got to come and see you! Would have come if it hadn't been a preschool day! Miss you!
Thank goodness he saved his head, right?!!!
Poor kid!
But, yay for you not having to deal with soccer anymore if you don't really like to!
I am dreading the day that one of my boys break a bone. I am sure it will happen someday. How did you do??? Hope all is well with everyone else.
WEll, I broke my ankle chasing after a boy who had stollen my headband....5th grade, and that has been the source of all my problems with my ankle these last two years. If I had it to do over, I would have done better thinking too!
Poor kid! I hope it's heals fast!
